Missed Me?

Good afternoon everyone!

I'm still around, it's just been so busy for me lately! Lots of swaps and snail-mailing, of course. Mostly I've been staying home at my dad's to watch the cat/house (since he was out of town for a little over a week) and my commute to work is a bit longer.

I've also been using the heck out of my Instax Mini 8 (mine is the pretty blue color) and I'm hoping to get some of my pictures scanned soon so I can show everyone. (:

I promise I'll upload my outfit post as soon as I can, along with some of those Instax pictures! :D

Swap-Bot!

Good afternoon everyone!

I don't have too much to share today (I was thinking of showing everyone how many Hello Kitty-themed letters I am sending, but then decided not to), but I did find a new website to try out - it's called Swap-Bot!

The idea is that you join different swaps, which are about all sorts of things. Some have certain requirements, and you get ratings based on the swaps you've completed. The better and more ratings you have, the more swaps you can join.

So since I just joined and don't have any ratings, I've only signed up for two - the sticker swap and the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 swap! :D We'll see how they go, and I'll report back to everyone with what I send and with what I receive.

Speaking of swaps, I've also signed up for Arbitrary Day PLUS 2013 on redditgifts! I think it should be fun. I haven't gotten my gifts from the Star Trek or the Stationery & Pens exchange, but I'll share when I do!

Big Savings at Joanns!

Good evening everyone! I had nothing of interest to share yesterday, but today I got HUGE savings at Joanns!

They were having a Memorial Day Sale, and I had a 15% coupon from the newspaper.

So I got some paper accents to share with my penpals, just cute little things I thought they would enjoy.

I also love to sew, and Simplicity patterns were only a dollar each!

So, here's what I got, and my savings! I spent only $25 and I saved... $181! That is awesome, if I do say so myself.

Incoming Mail!

I hope all is well. I'm doing a quick post before going to a movie night with friends. Incoming mail! Postcrossing and some from penpals. The "Ophelia among the flowers" is my favorite. It comes from a penpal in Sweden!!

Outgoing Snail Mail!

Good afternoon everyone!

It's raining here in Minneapolis today, but I don't mind - I love the rain!

Today I'm sending a letter to my penpal Mary (she always sends me the most awesome things! I feel like my letters are so boring in comparison), sending mail to new friends on Sendsomething, and sending out some postcards for Postcrossing! The book is going to someone from Sendsomething, but it's got a sticker in it for Bookcrossing (I know, so many "crossings").

If you can't tell I love to send snail mail! I'm also really excited because my limit on Postcrossing was increased to 12 at a time - so far I've sent 151 postcards! :D

Now I'll probably play the DS game 999 for a bit (it's AWESOME, I might do a post about it eventually) or maybe finish watching Ouran High School Host Club. I've been watching it for years and now I'm finally at the end. @.@
